Working in construction for a few years led to working in IT the past 20 years. After graduating from college in 1983, he moved to Georgia with his wife Laura. The department has a variety of equipment for cleaning the sewer system including a remote controlled robotic camera. Both Water and Sewer systems have been in operation since 1910. Furthermore, the city has over 100 miles of sanitary sewer lines. We have over 156 miles of water main that serve customers both inside and outside the city limits. The department services water main sizes from 2” to 30” pipe. Our water system is comprised of the most state of the art equipment and facilities that provide services for approximately 7,700 residential, 800 commercial and 40 Industrial customers.
